The Ottawa Senators announced that goaltender Leclaire will be suspended for at least four weeks with a fractured right cheekbone suffered during Monday night's game against the Washington Capitals at Scotiabank Place. Mike Brodeur has been called up from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators in order to fill the void behind Brian Elliott.
Actually Leclaire was the backup goaltender because he wanted a few more days to recover from a lower-body injury suffered in Ottawa's win over the Buffalo Sabres two days earlier. Hope he can appear on the ice in his senators jersey in one month.
