Nationals' Strasburg has serious injury

In the Arizona Fall League Championship Game on Saturday, Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg has been scratched from the start because of a injured left knee suffered during a Phoenix Desert Dogs test on Thursday afternoon. The tema takes a precaution that Strasburg is expected to fly to Washington on Friday to be examined by Dr. Lewis Yocum.

Strasburg, who was the first overall pick in the 2009 Player Draft, made in five starts and struck out 26 batters in 19 innings for the Desert Dogs. It is the second time that Strasburg was injured during the AFL season. Last time he suffered a neck injury and missed a start.
