Yorvit Torrealba's son, Yorvit Eduardo Torrealba, threw out the first pitch before the Rockies' first home playoff game of 2009, the third game of the National League Division Series against the Phillies.
Yorvit Eduardo and other two family members were kidnapped in Venezuela in early June, the abductors set three of them free without even picking up the total money of $50,000 that had been agreed upon.
Since then, Torrealba moved his wife and family to the U.S. Yorvit Eduardo, spending much of the summer with his father, and often participated in pregame tests with the Rockies. But when school started, Yorvit Eduardo went to Miami, which is the family's new home.
